Red Spot Broadcaster alnico 4 bridge pickup

Alnico 4 Broadcaster bridge pickup. This is wound with a little extra wire-43 heavy-formvar USA wire. The result is a bit more volume, but none of the unpleasant, pushy mids found in overwound pickups. 

This one has very rare Alnico 4 magnets, milled by me. These babies have more output than Alnico 3, but more warmth than Alnico 5. The perfect magnet for the bridge position. 

Completely handmade by me w/ vintage-correct USA parts. Notice how the mags push up the fiber on top; the pickup, twine and wires are blackened w/ lamp-black impregnated wax; baseplate is tarnished zinc; etc. these are all the little things that make my work look, sound, and smell vintage. 

Hand-scatter wound w/ the variable tension I've developed over the years making dozens of Fender pickups and PAF-style Peter Green humbuckers.
